Day 1

Arrive Victoria, British Columbia - Canada (BD)

On arrival in Vancouver transfer by scenic coach & ferry, crossing Georgia Strait, to the historic Fairmont Empress Hotel, located on the Inner Harbour. This afternoon enjoy a tour of Victoria learning the history of the famous landmarks and lovely homes of this stunning harbour-side Capital of British Columbia. Tonight meet your Tour Director and travelling companions for a 'Welcome to Canada' reception and dinner.

Day 2

Victoria - FreeChoice (B)

This morning visit the world-famous Butchart Gardens. Enjoy 22 hectares of wonderful floral displays, where more than a million plants in over 700 varieties are used annually to ensure uninterrupted bloom. See the spectacular Japanese, Italian and Rose Gardens at your own pace, then return to Victoria.

Day 3

Victoria to Vancouver - Stanley Park (BD)

Today you will cross the Georgia Strait by ferry, via the Gulf Islands and then into cosmopolitan Vancouver. Later take a city tour visiting highlights such as Stanley Park to see the Totem Poles, stop at Gastown to view the steam clock, Chinatown and Granville Island. This evening enjoy dinner at your hotel.

Day 4

Vancouver - Capliano Suspension Bridge - Grouse Mountain (B)

Enjoy a full day tour stopping at Vancouver's oldest tourist attraction, the Capilano Suspension Bridge. Built in 1889, stretching 450 feet wide and 230 feet above the Capilano River, here you will have the option to join a guided nature tour & also watch a First Nations carving demonstration. Later ascend Grouse Mountain by the Skyride, North America's largest gondola. Passing over the top of the local Douglas Fir Pines, your trip to the summit will be a memorable experience in itself. The views from at the top are breathtaking and offer amazing panoramic vistas back over Vancouver the Pacific Ocean and the Gulf Islands. Enjoy lunch (at own expense) at the Bistro or Observatory and then explore Grouse Mountains many options. You can choose to watch the Birds in Motion, a wildlife documentary at the Theatre in the Sky or a lumberjack show. The Refuge of Endangered Wildlife will provide you an opportunity to see Grizzly Bears and Grey Wolves in their own environment. This afternoon return to your hotel and enjoy time at leisure.

Day 6

Vancouver to Whistler - Whistler Mountaineer (BD)

After breakfast farewell Vancouver as you step aboard the Whistler Mountaineer for the unique three hour train journey to Whistler. Travel through deep valleys and pass snowcapped peaks through the Sea-to-Sky region as you enjoy scenic views onboard the Coast Classic service. Whistler to Sun Peaks - Hat Creek Ranch (BD)

Drive into the Thompson-Okanagan, a region famed for rushing streams, clear lakes and valleys filled with orchards and vineyards. Stop at Historic Hat Creek Ranch to learn about the Shuswap peoples. Continue to the internationally renowned ski resort of Sun Peaks, on arrival perhaps take the opportunity to do a guided Nature trail walk or step back in time on a Voyager Canoe trip (optional excursions own expense). This evening enjoy dinner and Native Indian entertainment.

Sun Peaks to Jasper - Mt Robson (BD)

Travel through British Columbia's Gold-Rush and Cariboo regions, enjoying tantalising glimpses of the soaring granite mountains of Canada's Rockies. Keep an eye open for wildlife such as moose, elk, deer, bears or eagles. Stand at the base of awesome, 3,954 metre Mt Robson before arriving into the township of Jasper and the superb Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge. An Alpine-like village of cedar chalets and log cabins located along the shores of beautiful Lac Beauvert. Alternatively stroll around the lake where you may be lucky enough to spot Elk, which frequently stroll through the grounds of the resort. Stop at Columbia Icefield where you'll take a never-to-be forgotten Ice Explorer ride onto the mighty Athabasca Glacier. Continue south stopping at the mesmerizing Lake Peyto. Arrive in Lake Louise this afternoon and be captivated by the views across the lake to the Victoria Glacier.

Lake Louise - Day at Leisure (B)

Today enjoy a complete day at your leisure in this remarkable location. Your Tour Director will be able to offer you assistance. Options such as; hiking the surrounding trails and discovering the hidden tea-houses located high above the Chateau Lake Louise, or perhaps taking a paddle boat for two out onto the Lake to discover her true charm, or maybe ride the Lake Louise chairlift for impressive views.

Day 13

Lake Louise to Banff - Sulphur Mountain Gondola (BD)

This morning discover Emerald Lake and the Natural Bridge. Continue the short distance on to Banff via the Bow Valley Parkway to keep your focused for the chance of wildlife spotting. Arrive in Banff and check into the imposing Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel, one of the most famous hotels. This afternoon enjoy a ride to the top of Sulphur Mountain for awe inspiring views of Banff National Park. Day 16

Banff to Calgary (B)

Depart the Canadian Rockies and travel to Calgary. Your Scenic Tour concludes at Calgary Airport where you bid farewell to your Tour Director.
